I really thought that this series had one of the strongest concepts of all the CrossGen titles.

Yeah, it really did. I got it for about a year, but had to make some cuts, and Crux was one of the casualities. I was glad when they moved Gammid over to Negation though, he was much more interesting there.

This was my favorite book. I loved Capricia and really wanted to see what was going to happen to her after that whole thing with her being pregnant with Sam's child.

That and we were left hanging with poor Zeph....

This was a great one initially, but I thought it got worse as time went on. I thought it was better before they started waking up Atlanteans. The idea that they were trying to was better. But there was some really great stuff in there.

the first year was pretty strong, but nothing seemed to happen. The whole amusement park was mostly left untouched, there should have been dead bodies all over ( from the visitors to the park ) to add more of a dire nature to the Negation threat. The Atlanteans themselves did not seem to go anywhere ( I did love the thematic feel of the first 12 issues, there were some poignet moments and incredible art ( I have several prints from this time )

When Chuck took over, things got wierd,
I dont see where Aristophanes & Thraxis ( as cool as they looked ) added anything to the series. Issue 17 could have been amazing, but the art was weak.

Chuck Dixon has said he reccomended ending the series with issue 25, he would have been right.

I think the series had a great concept to begin with, lost its way ( After the series Negation came ) , than added unneeded charecters and was all over the place, with one of the weaker endings.

PS, I have not read these issues in some time, I need to take a new look ( maybe it was better than I remember )

I also thought some of the concepts weren't really explored as well as they could have. One reason I wanted to get this title was that it was esentially promised as a "Look, they wake up on an Earth that has become a defunct amusement park! They can literally walk from 30,000 BC to 30,000 AD within a few steps!", and they never really explored that. A couple issues tried to, but overall it wasn't about that. And that's okay because I liked what they did do (again, initially), but I wish they had delved into that stuff more.
